Less than a week after Rob Kardashian and his girlfriend Blac Chyna’s home was burglarized, RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley—who shares a child with Rob—thinks it’s a miracle the Kardashians and the kids weren’t harmed in the attack. Dorit, who is expecting her second child with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Tom Schwartz, told E! News that she called 911 after realizing her children and friends had all left their home: “I was very thankful that none of the girls were in there,” she said. Dorit’s statement coincides with comments she made to People, in which she mentioned she was worried for Rob and Chyna’s children: “I don’t know how much longer they can handle being witnesses to this and it’s so sad that they have to go through something like this and Rob has his own personal demons to fight,” she said.
Below, the full conversation from E! News:
E! News: How was your trip to Europe this past week?
Dorit Kemsley: It was awesome! We arrived in Santorini on Sunday, and had a wonderful week. I’m usually a beach and spa kind of girl, but this past weekend was so much fun.
EW: What was it like seeing them grow and change with the age?
DK: I just couldn’t believe how much they’ve developed—and at such a fast rate. I have so much love and admiration for them and it’s been so much fun to watch.
EW: What was your reaction when you heard about the robbery?
DK: I woke up and heard about it, but as of now I don’t have a lot of details. I called 911 and the last time we spoke, Kim sent me a video message. It was so unreal, I was in total shock, especially with the protection of the home because it’s our home and I didn’t feel my family was put in jeopardy at all. I’m also super grateful that the kids were all there for us when we were there. I don’t know how much longer they can handle being witnesses to this and it’s so sad that they have to go through something like this and Rob has his own personal demons to fight. It’s something I don’t think I can ever wrap my head around, but we will leave it up to the authorities to figure out.
EW: Do you think security measures were sufficient for your family?
DK: That’s the million dollar question. Security should always be the business of the owners, but we appreciate everything they did. I would want to have security at all times and everybody to be aware of their surroundings. It’s all about being mindful of your surroundings and be safe and make sure you’re vigilant.
EW: The Kardashians are never going to be the most low-key family.
DK: I don’t know that Kim will ever be the most low-key girl to me. I love her to death and, as for the other members of the family, I think they’re fun and everyone loves them, so if they do engage in their family life, it won’t be a secret. I think the whole world knows where I am, but I wouldn’t want the paparazzi to know. I don’t consider myself to be a celebrity and yet the paparazzi follow me everywhere I go. It’s crazy.
