Man killed by Toronto police identified as former Outlaws member

A person shot and killed by Toronto police Saturday night has been identified as Charles McPherson, a former member of the Outlaws motorcycle gang.

“The service was called after a reported disturbance in a vehicle. The service engaged the suspect, who was shot and killed,” Toronto Police Services told FOX411 in a statement Sunday.

McPherson, 45, was found dead in a stolen car in the parking lot of a Canadian Tire Store located on a major road in Vaughan, just north of Toronto. The vehicle was stolen in a carjacking.

A manhunt was conducted and Vaughan police found a suspected murder suspect late Saturday night. Police said he was located, arrested and taken to a hospital where he was in stable condition. Police have not released his name.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the victims’ children.
